As a part of International Women’s Day Celebration, Anti-Ragging Committee & Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee of Vanita Vishram Women’s University in collaboration with Women Doctors’ Wing, Indian Medical Association organized an awareness programme for the students under the guidance of Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar.

Dr. Trupti Chaudhari Patel addressed the students by advising them about standing up against sexual harassment, not to maintain silence & to shout, to speak up. Further the second resource person Mr. Pamir Shah threw light on various incidents related to molestation and rapes. He demonstrated practical techniques of self-defense which females can use to protect themselves in such situations.

The session was concluded with a Question – Answer session and all the queries of participants were satisfactorily done.

Overall, it was an informative, practical and eye-opening session. Participants practically learnt self-defense techniques to protect themselves.
