Department of Food and Nutrition under Faculty of Science, School of Science and Technology, Vanita Vishram Women’s University and Surat Pediatric Association Charitable Trust jointly celebrated “World Breastfeeding Week-2024” with enthusiasm.
As a part of which, various competitions and a beautiful drama showing the importance of breastfeeding were presented by the students. Various competitions including poster, slogan and elocution were held to creatively express the understanding of the importance of breastfeeding among the students. A street play was presented by the second year students of Food and Nutrition, highlighting the misconceptions about breastfeeding in the society and showing the benefits of healthy breastfeeding.
Dr. Vijay Shah, Dr. Salim Hirani, Dr. Zenul Gagan and Mr. Gajendra Majethia judged the competitions. The whole program was organized under the guidance of the Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar and Dean Dr. Manisha Vyas.
This program was coordinated by Dr. Shilpee Agarwal and Ms. Neha Solani from the Department of Food and Nutrition.
