Elocution Competition on Indian Knowledge System

As a part of Celebrating 5 years of NEP-2020 , Departments of Biotechnology, Commerce, and Food & Nutrition, Vanita Vishram Women’s University, Surat, jointly organized An Interdepartmental Elocution Competition on the theme “Indian Knowledge System” on 31st July 2025, Thursday.
The primary objective of this elocution event was to raise awareness about the richness of Indian knowledge systems across various domains such as culture, science, philosophy, Ayurveda, agriculture, mathematics, and languages.
Two students from each departments of the university enthusiastically participated in the competition. The participating students delivered insightful and inspiring speeches on diverse topics given to them related to Indian Knowledge Systems.
The competition was evaluated by Dr. Sapna Desai and Mrs. Smriti Juneja.
The winners were:
• First Prize: Sakshi Mishra (Department of Biotechnology)
• Second Prize: Harsha Khatri (Department of Management)
• Third Prize: Patil Bhagyashree (Department of Microbiology)
All winners were felicitated with trophies and certificates in recognition of their achievement by Dr. R. D. Patel (Registrar, VVWU) and Dr. Satish Patel (COE, VVWU).
The event was conducted under the able guidance of Dr. Daxesh Thakar (Provost, Vanita Vishram Women’s University), Dr. Abhilasha Agrawal (Dean, Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies) and Dr. Manisha Vyas (Dean, Faculty of Science) by the organizing team comprised of Dr. Urjita Sheth , Dr. Nanda Bothra, Dr. Shilpee Agrawal, and Dr. Krishna Desai.
