An extremely informative session titled “Her Health Matters” was organized on 09th January 2026 at Vanita Vishram Women’s University, managed by Vanita Vishram, under the aegis of the Women’s Development Cell.
The session focused on cancer and menstrual irregularities among adolescent girls and stress management during youth.
On this occasion, Dr. Rupal Shah , M.D., F.I.C.O.G., from Rupal Hospitals and VAMA Wellness Centre for Women, elaborated in detail on the types of cancers affecting women, especially cervical cancer, it’s causes, and diagnoses. Dr. Deepa Patel (PG-OAP) explained the causes of stress to the students with relevant examples and also suggested simple and powerful remedies.
The session was organized under the able guidance of our Hon’ble Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar. It was successfully executed by the Women’s Development Cell Chairperson and Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies Dr. Vinita Mod .
The Programme was coordinated by Assistant Professor and the Co-Chairperson Ms. Shagun Rao, along with all the committee member’s.
A total of 260 students from various departments attended the session and shared their concerns and received guidance from the speakers.
