The NCC and NSS Units of Vanita Vishram Women’s University organized an Awareness Session on Stem Cell Donation and Registration Drive in collaboration with the Colosperse Foundation and DKMS Foundation on Monday, March 16, 2026.
The purpose of the program was to create awareness about stem cell donation and encourage voluntary donor registration to help save lives.
The Chief Guest Dr. Chirag Trivedi, Bone marrow transplantation expert, addressed the audience and delivered an insightful session explaining the significance of stem cell donation.
Mr. Om Kore and Dr. Parikshit Vashi explained the simple donor registration process, and how such donations can provide a second chance at life to patients suffering from blood cancer and other serious blood disorders.
Dr. Satish Patel, CoE, VVWU, remained present and emphasised the importance of such noble initiatives that create awareness and inspire people to contribute to society.
The session was highly informative and inspired students to understand the importance of this noble cause.
The activity was conducted under the guidance of Hon. Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar and Registrar Dr. R. D. Patel.
