Skill-Based Certificate Course on Spoken English organized by the Department of English, SOHASS, VVWU.
A Skill-Based Certificate Course on Spoken English was organized by the Department of English, SOHASS, VVWU From *4th to 12th May 2026. The inaugural ceremony of the certificate course was graced with the presence of Dr. Daxesh Thakar, Hon’ble Provost of Vanita Vishram Women’s University and Dr. Aditya Farsole, Dean, SOHASS. Dr. Daxesh Thakar inspired and motivated students with his words of wisdom. Dr. Viraj Desai, Assistant Professor, Department of English gave a brief introduction to the course and, Dr. Aditya Farsole, Dean, SOHASS, proposed the Vote of Thanks.
A total of 65 students from all the schools of VVWU ethusiastically participated in this 30-hours long course spanned over 8 days.
During these 30 hours, under the able guidance of experts such as Mr. Yashvant Vyas, Dr. Dharmendra Sheth, Dr. Sapna Desai, Dr. Babita Kar and the faculty members of the Department of English, participants actively engaged in various interactive activities such as conversations, listening activites, and pronunciation practice to name a few. The course aimed not only to improve fluency and vocabulary, but also to develop confidence, clarity, and effective communication skills that are essential in today’s world.
The course concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony on 12th May, 2026. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Daxesh Thakar, Hon’ble Provost of Vanita Vishram Women’s University and Dr. Aditya Farsole, Dean, SOHASS. Hon’ble Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar congratulated the participants for successfully completing the course and motivated them to keep the quest for knowledge in them alive for a lifetime. Post certificate distribution, Dr. Aditya Farsole proposed a Vote of Thanks.
