The Cyber Club, VVWU successfully organized a Seminar on Cyber Safety Awareness on 17th August 2026.
The seminar was organized under the UGC initiatives for promoting Cyber Safety Awareness in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), with the aim of creating awareness about cyber threats, online safety, responsible digital practices, and protection against cybercrimes.
The session was graced by Hon’ble Provost, Dr. Daxesh Thakar Sir, and featured Mr. D. V. Gamit, Cyber Crime Cell Inspector, Surat, as the Resource Person. He shared valuable practical insights on cybercrime, online frauds, and essential measures for staying safe in the digital world.
The seminar provided students with an informative and interactive platform to strengthen their cyber safety awareness and become more empowered, agile, and informed digital citizens. All the CRs and GSs of the university actively engaged in the seminar.
The event was organized under the guidance and support of Dr. Daxesh Thakar Sir, Hon’ble Provost Dr. R. D. Patel Sir, Hon’ble Registrar and Dr. Nirali Dave, Nodal Officer, Cyber Club, Dean, Faculty of CS and IT and it was successfully coordinated by the Cyber Club Members, VVWU.
