With immense pride, we are happy to share that one of our Ph.D. Scholars from the Dept. of Microbiology Ms. Dharti Kurkutia has been granted a patent for her research on “Design of Enzyme Processing Apparatus” by the Patent Office of India.
The research focuses on the screening and characterization of the enzyme L-asparaginase, exploring its potential applications in food preservation and anti-leukemic application point of view. This patent achievement in collaboration highlights her dedication to scientific research, innovation, and the advancement of microbiological applications with potential benefits for food technology and healthcare.
She has carried out her research under the guidance of Dr. Ratnakar Chitte, Asst. Professor, Dept of Microbiology.
