The Department of Food and Nutrition, Faculty of Science, School of Science and Technology, Vanita Vishram Women’s University (VVWU), organised a Rice Donation Drive as part of World Food Day 2026 to promote food security and social responsibility.
Approximately 1,000 kg of rice was collected from all the institutions of Vanita Vishram. It will be distributed to the needy. An effort was made to give a little contribution to our house keeping and support staff.
A Certificate Distribution Ceremony was also organised to recognise participants of National Nutrition Month 2026. Certificates were awarded for the 10,000 Steps Challenge and Peer Group Training Activity.
25 staff and students completed the 21 days challenge of 10000 steps everyday.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Hon’ble Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar and Dr. Manisha Vyas, Dean, Faculty of Science and Head, Department of Food and Nutrition. The activities were coordinated by Dr. Shilpee Agrawal, Assistant Professor, and Ms. Chand Vachhani, Teaching Assistant.
