Are Vanita Vishram Women's University and Vanita Vishram same?
Vanita Vishram, Surat – a prominent and 119 years old educational institute of Surat – is our parent institute and sponsoring body under which Vanita Vishram Women’s University has been established in 2021. Vanita Vishram, Surat runs 16 educational institutes in which 16000+ girl students – from LKG to Ph.D. – empower themselves through education.
Are Vanita Vishram Women's University (VVWU) and Vanita Vishram College same?
Vanita Vishram Women’s University is a university managed by Vanita Vishram, Surat while there is no such institute exists as “Vanita Vishram College”. However, earlier Vanita Vishram Surat ran a college “Vanita Vishram Women’s College of Commerce” which used to offer B. Com., B. B. A. and M. Com. programmes. The college has been dissolved after the establishment of VVWU and the same programmes are now run under Jyoti Dalal School of Commerce and Management – one of the schools of VVWU.
Is there any hostel facility in Vanita Vishram Women's University?
Yes, there is a hostel facility on the campus itself. There are two hostels exclusively for women managed by Vanita Vishram, Surat. The hostel accommodation is provided on first come first serve basis with four girls in a room. The hostels have following facilities:
- Clean, spacious, well-furnished rooms with attached washrooms
- Hygienic home-like food
- 2 Full-time Wardens
- Lounge for Watching T.V.
- 24×7 security
- CCTV-enabled Hostel Premises

Students who want to take accommodation in the hostel have to fill separate form along with the submission of the following documents:
- Self-attested photocopy of last educational mark sheet (1 copy)
- Self-attested photocopy of student’s Aadhar card (1 copy)
- 3 latest passport size photographs of the student
- Self-attested photocopies of Aadhar card of parents/ guardians (1 set of copy)
- 2 photographs of parents
- Self-attested copy of last Light bill of student’s/ parent’s residence (1 copy)
- Self-attested photocopy of fee receipt of VVWU. (1 copy)
- Self-attested photocopy of Aadhar card and light bill of local guardian (1 copy)
