Anti-Ragging Week

Anti Ragging Committee and Anti Sexual Harassment Committee observed Anti Ragging Week from 12th August to 18th August 2023. 

On 12th August, Awareness through Screening of Documentary was organised for the first year students at School Level. 

On 14th August, Essay Writing Competition was organised on the topics, ‘Ragging-An Avoidable Crime’ and ‘ Sexual Harassment and Psychological Stress’, in which 46 students from across the different departments participated. The competition was judged by Dr. Sapna Desai (HoD, Asst. Professor, English Department, VVWU) and Dr. Anamika Talesara (Asst. Professor, English Department, VVWU)

On 17th August, Poster Making Competition on the topics ‘Together Against Ragging’ and ‘No Means No’ was organised in which 41 students from across the different departments participated. The competition was judged by Mr. Gajendra Majethi (Renowned Artist)
On 18th August an Expert Talk by Mrs. Geeta Shroff (Renowned Social Worker and Counselor)on the topic ‘Say No to Ragging and Sexual Harassment’, in which 115 students participated.

The week long event was successfully coordinated by the committee members under the leadership of Hon’ble Provost sir Dr. Daxesh Thakar and guidance of Dr. Abhilasha Agarwal (Chairperson, ASHC) and Mrs. Ruchika Agarwal (Convenor, ARC)
