Department of Food and Nutrition, Faculty of Science, Vanita Vishram Women’s University participated in the State level Millet Mahotsav in collaboration with Poshan Se Roshan Smart Surat (PSRSS) Initiative.
The Mahotsav was inaugurated on 8th February, 2025 virtually by the Chief Minister in 8 districts and in Surat by Shri Harsh Sanghavi at Vanita Vishram ground.
Our students created an awareness amongst the citizens about nutritional benefits of millets. The stall was given to our department with the support of our Management, and was conducted with the motivation of Hon’ble provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar and under the guidance of Dean Faculty of Science and Head of Department of Food and Nutrition Dr. Manisha Vyas and well coordinated by Ms. Neha Solanki and the entire department.
