National Conference on “Emerging Paradigms and Innovative Practices in Commerce, Accountancy and Management”

Jyoti Dalal School of Commerce and Management successfully organized a One-Day National Conference on “Emerging Paradigms and Innovative Practices in Commerce, Accountancy and Management” on 09/08/26.

In all, 135 registrations were received not only from Surat and the South Gujarat region but also from different states across India, including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.

The Inaugural Session was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. V. D. Naik, Director, Naran Lala College, Navsari, and Hon. Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar. The session also witnessed the launch of the Souvenir comprising abstracts of the research papers selected for presentation at the Conference, marking a significant academic milestone of the event.

Four Technical Sessions were conducted by distinguished Resource Persons, covering recent developments, emerging trends and innovative practices in industry and academia relating to commerce, accountancy and management. The sessions were highly insightful, engaging and enriching. We were privileged to have Dr. Shrinivasan Iyengar, Professor and Former Director, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai; CA Jay Chhaira, Central Council Member, ICAI; CA Nilesh Vasa, Senior Advisor, Ernst & Young LLP, Mumbai; and Prof. Dr. Madhulika Sonawane, Director & Professor, School of Management Studies, KBC North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, as its esteemed Resource Persons.

In the Post-Lunch Session, 90 research papers were presented across parallel paper presentation tracks. The facility of online presentation was also provided to outstation participants. 5 research papers were selected for the Best Paper Awards.

The Valedictory Session was graced by Hon. Registrar Dr. R. D. Patel, along with the dignitaries invited as the Session Chairs for Paper Presentation Tracks.

The Conference was conducted under the visionary guidance of Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar and the unwavering support of Hon. Registrar Dr. R. D. Patel, whose encouragement and leadership contributed immensely to its successful execution.

Dr. Abhilasha Agarwal, Convener, along with Dr. Nanda Bothra and Dr. Bosky Suratwala, Co-Conveners, provided dedicated academic and organizational leadership to the Conference. Dr. Ghanshyam Bhomachiya and Dr. CA Krishna Desai, as Coordinators, along with the entire JDSCM team, worked with remarkable commitment, coordination and team spirit to make the Conference a meaningful and successful academic endeavour.
