The Department of Accountancy of Jyoti Dalal School of Commerce and Management, Vanita Vishram Women’s University (VVWU) successfully organized a seminar on “The Income Tax Act, 2025” on Tuesday, 30th June 2026.
The sessions were delivered by CA Ravi Patel, Member of the Indian Accounting Association, and CA Mukesh Kabra, Vice President of CAAS, who served as the distinguished resource persons.
The speakers provided valuable insights into the provisions of The Income Tax Act 2025, with a special focus on the key changes introduced under the new Act and their practical implications for taxpayers.
Key Highlights of the Sessions are as under:
* Comparison between the old and the new Income Tax Act.
* Major amendments and provisions introduced under the Income Tax Act, 2025.
* TDS provisions and deductions under the new Act.
* Income Tax Return (ITR) filing procedures and compliance requirements.
The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 130 students of the B.Com. and M.Com.
The interactive sessions enhanced students’ understanding of contemporary taxation practices and equipped them with practical knowledge relevant to both academic learning and professional development.
The event was organized under the guidance of Hon. Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar, Registrar Dr. R. D. Patel and Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Dr. Abhilasha Agarwal.
The programme was successfully coordinated with the dedicated support of Dr. Nanda Bothra, HoD – Commerce, Dr. Ghanshyam Bhomachiya, Dr. (CA) Krishna Desai, and Ms. Lekhani Agrawal, whose collective efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the seminar.
