The मन – Psychological Counselling Cell, National Task Force and Department of Psychology of School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Vanita Vishram Women’s University (VVWU) successfully organized Sensitization Seminar on Suicide Prevention on the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day on Thursday, September 10, 2026 in Shiv Gauri Hall, VVWU.
Dr. Urvish Jaganiya, Founder & Consultant Psychiatrist, Nivaan Clinic, Surat delivered the seminar on Suicide Prevention.
The event was exclusively organised for Student Council members with the primary goal to empower and raise awareness about mental health and warning signs of suicidal behaviour which can then reach till all the classes.
The session was attended by, 163 students of Student Council, FYBA Psychology and MA-I Clinical Psychology and 5 faculty members of VVWU.
The session was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Daxesh Thakar, Provost, VVWU.
The event was supported by Dr. Aditya Farsole, Chairperson, मन – Psychological Counselling Cell and Head, Department of Psychology, VVWU and coordinated by Dr. Ria Nadkarni.
