The students of History Department, SOHASS participated in an event titled “Surti Spirit in Street Architecture” organized by Ri-Chart, INTACH, Surat Chapter and the SMC on 13 October, 2022 wherein 21 students participated.

The exhibition visit benifited the  students a lot as they learnt about the different architectural  styles and patterns of buildings found in various areas of the city. They also analysed and interpreted the influence of culture and heritage through buildings belonging to different times, communities and professionals, who lived in these appartments.

The vist was coordinated by Dr. Vidushi Choksi and the students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm
