Hindustan Samachar organized an Emergency Awareness Program on “Apatkalkal Ke 50 Saal” (50 Years of Emergency) at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat, on the 19th September 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
This program aimed to educate students about the historical significance, lessons, and impacts of the Emergency period in India (1975-1977).
A total of 15 NSS volunteers and few other B. Com. students participated and gained valuable insights into the socio-political events of that era. The session proved to be an enriching experience, enhancing their historical awareness and critical thinking. Under the guidance and support of our Hon’ble Provost, Dr. Daxesh Thakar, students could witness this program.
The event was well-coordinated by NSS Committee member, Ms. Nikita Keshan, (Department of Commerce) whose meticulous planning ensured smooth execution.
