Important Instructions for the Post of Laboratory Assistant

• Qualifications and salary shall be as per Vanita Vishram and University norms. 
• Candidates must possess a consistently strong academic record, along with effective communication and interpersonal skills. Preference will be given to female candidates. 
• Eligibility and fulfillment of all short-listing criteria shall be determined as on the last date of receipt of applications. 
• Candidates should apply only for the discipline of their interest. Separate applications must be submitted for each discipline/post, if applying for more than one. 
• It is mandatory to clearly mention the area of specialization to avoid ambiguity or disqualification. 
• The University reserves the right to verify all documents and antecedents at any stage. If any information is found false or suppressed, the candidate’s candidature/appointment shall be cancelled. 
• The University reserves the right not to fill any advertised vacancy and may alter the number of positions at any stage. 
• Any inadvertent error in the selection process may be corrected, and the University reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any communication. 
• In case of any dispute or ambiguity, the decision of the University/Management shall be final. 
• Applicants currently employed must apply through the proper channel and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer. 
• Candidates must submit self-attested copies of certificates and mark sheets from matriculation onwards. Original documents must be produced at the time of interview. 
• Applicants are advised to ensure that they meet the minimum eligibility criteria before applying. 
• No correspondence regarding postal delays, interview process, or selection results will be entertained. 
• No interim correspondence shall be considered. 

Selection Process:

• Selection will be made through a personal interview by the duly constituted Selection Committee. 
• The University may also conduct a written/competitive test if required. 
• The Selection Committee may adopt its own evaluation methodology. 
• The University reserves the right to reject any application without assigning reasons. 
• Relaxation in age, experience, or other criteria may be granted in deserving cases. 
• Recommendations involving relaxation or higher initial pay/increments shall be duly recorded with justification. 
• The number of posts is tentative and subject to change at the time of selection. 
• Mere possession of minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview call. The University may apply stricter short-listing criteria. 
• Candidates with higher qualifications and merit may be given preference. 
• The University may invite suitable candidates for interview even if they have not applied. 
• The Selection Committee may recommend a candidate for a lower post if deemed suitable. 
• The Chairman of the Selection Committee shall have the authority to decide procedures in matters not specified above. 

General Conditions:

• Legal jurisdiction for any disputes shall be limited to courts in Surat, Gujarat. 
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview. 

Submission of Application:

• The duly signed hard copy of the application form, along with self-attested documents, must reach the University Office on or before 14/05/2026 by 4:00 PM via registered post/speed post/courier/hand delivery in a sealed envelope. 
• The University will not be responsible for postal delays. Applications received after the due date, incomplete applications, or additional documents submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
