The Faculty of Science, School of Science and Technology at Vanita Vishram Women’s University, Surat, successfully organized Aarambh 2025 —an **Orientation Programme for parents and a Freshers’ Day **Celebration to welcome the new students—on Friday, 18th July 2025, at Shivgauri Hall.
The programme was blessed by Hon’ble Provost, Dr. Daxesh Thakar. Controller of Examination, Dr. Satish Patel graced the occassion and gave his insightful thoughts. Dr. Navnit Chothani also addressed the gathering. Dr. Manisha Vyas, Dean, Faculty of Science, welcomed the students and parents and provided an overview of Vanita Vishram and Vanita Vishram Women’s University. She also explained the code of conduct to the parents.
Parents were also addressed and oriented about the VVWU mobile application by the Mr. Tejal Parekh, IT manager of VVWU and IT Team of the Faculty of Science, which enabled them to better understand how to stay connected with the university’s academic and administrative updates.

The Freshers’ Day celebration included a vibrant cultural programme featuring energetic performances and interactive games organized by the student council members and senior students , creating a cheerful and welcoming environment.
With the enthusiastic participation of over 250 students and parents, the event was a grand success. It was conducted under the guidance and support of Dr. Daxesh Thakar , Hon’ble Provost, and Dr. Manisha Vyas , Dean, Faculty of Science.
The smooth execution of the event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the Event Coordinator, Dr. Ishita Desai, and the wholehearted support of all faculty members of the Faculty of Science, School of Science and Technology.
