The Department of Commerce, Jyoti Dalal School of Commerce and Management, Vanita Vishram Women’s University (VVWU), Surat, in collaboration with Net-X IT & Multimedia Academy, successfully organized an Academic Guest Lecture on “Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence” on Friday, 27th February 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Shivgauri Hall, Vanita Vishram, Surat.
The session featured Dr. Maulik Shah, CTO, Net-X IT & Multimedia Academy, and Mr. Harshit Agarwal, Senior Cyber Security Analyst & ISO Lead Auditor, as the distinguished resource persons.
During the session, the speakers acquainted students with fundamental and advanced concepts of cyber security and artificial intelligence. They elaborated on crucial topics such as cyber threats, hacking, malware and viruses, two-factor authentication, safe browsing practices, data privacy, personal data protection, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in digital security. The experts also emphasized responsible online behaviour, privacy settings on social media platforms, and practical measures to safeguard digital information. They also enlightened students about different AI tools and their productive uses.
The session was highly interactive, informative, and enriching, with enthusiastic participation from nearly 220 students.
The programme was planned under the guidance of Hon’ble Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar, Registrar Dr. R. D. Patel, Dean – Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies Dr. Abhilasha Agarwal and HoD of Commerce Dr. Nanda Bothra.
