The Department of Management Studies, Jyoti Dalal School of Commerce and Management, organized an Academic Guest Lecture on “General Principles of the Law of Contract” on 2ⁿᵈJanuary, 2026 for the students of S.Y.M.B.A.
The lecture was organized with the objective of enhancing students’ understanding of the fundamental principles governing contracts and their practical relevance in business and professional scenarios. The session aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical legal concepts and their real-world application in managerial decision-making.
The session was delivered by our esteemed guest speaker, Dr. Vikram Desai , a distinguished academician. Dr. Desai provided valuable insights into key concepts such as offer and acceptance, consideration, capacity of parties, free consent, and legality of contracts, with practical illustrations that enriched students’ learning experience.
The lecture was organized under the guidance of Dr. Daxesh Thakar , Honourable Provost, VVWU, and Dr. R. D. Patel , Registrar, VVWU.
It was executed with the dedicated support of Dr. Abhilash Agarwal , Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, and Dr. Bosky Suratwala , Head, Department of Management Studies.
