The Department of Microbiology organized a 3 days Lecture Series on ‘Financial Literacy’ spanning from August 24th to 26th, 2023.
The primary objective behind this initiative was to create awareness and understanding of vital financial concepts among postgraduate students within the department, lacking commerce-oriented background.
The series consisted of three lectures, each focusing on different aspects of financial literacy.
Dr. Bosky Suratwala, HoD and Assistant Professor (Finance), Department of Business and Management, SCBM was the resource person for this session. Total 70 students gained the knowledge of importance of saving and investing money. They became familiarize with various investment avenues available with different risk categories and other personal finance related aspects from these sessions.
The session was conducted under the guidance of Hon’ble Provost Sir, Dr. Daxesh Thakar and with the support of Dr. Manisha Vyas, Dean- School of Science and Technology, as well as Dr. Pinakin Dhandhukia, HoD, Dept. of Microbiology. It was coordinated by Dr. Padmshree Patel.
