Celebration of National Dietetics Day

Celebration of National Dietetics day was done by the Department of Food and Nutrition, Faculty of Science, School of Science and Technology, Vanita Vishram Women’s University and Indian Dietetic Association, Surat Club in a fun and fitness promoting event. Students of all the faculties of VVWU participated enthusiastically and made this event a great success.

The day started with Yog Garba by Anish Rangrej, a combination of Dance and meditation. It was a vigorous, fun filled cheerful session that made all the participants spellbound. It was followed by a long trail of faculties, dietitians and students walking in the campus with slogans and placards promoting good dietary practices.

We are thankful to Mr. M. C. Desai, Secretary of Vanita Vishram and Principal, Mrs. Rajul Mehta who joined us in the walkathon.

The event was done under the guidance of Honourable Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar and Dean of Faculty of Science and Head of the Department of Food and Nutrition, Dr. Manisha Vyas. It was coordinated by Dr. Shilpee Agrawal, Ms. Kriti Gupta and Ms. Neha Solanki.
