As part of the Rashtriya Poshan Maah celebration, Department of Food and Nutrition, Faculty of Science organised a VVWU staff cooking competition “Faculty’s Nutriplate” on 21-9-24 to promote healthy eating and nutrition awareness.
Participants prepared nutritious dishes using locally sourced ingredients, which were judged by Niranjana Joshi, Food Specialist and consultant, Founder and Owner of Nira’s cuisine, according to taste, presentation, and nutritional value. The event successfully encouraged creativity, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of the importance of balanced diets, aligning with the mission to foster better health and well-being through proper nutrition.

The event was conducted under the guidance of provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar, and Dr. Manisha Vyas, Dean and HoD of the Department of Food and Nutrition and Dr. Shilpee Agrawal, Assistant Professor and coordinated by Ms. Kriti Gupta (Teaching Assistant) that ensured the smooth execution.
