The Department of English at Vanita Vishram Women’s University organized a Literary Fest titled “Enigma – Weaving Magic Through Literature.”
The Day-1 of the Literary fest “Enigma – Weaving Magic Through Literature” was organized by the Department of English, Vanita Vishram Women’s University, on *17th December, 2025*for the students of the University.
On 17th December 2025, two workshops were conducted at the Shivgauri Hall situated on the Vanita Vishram campus for the students of the English Department. The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a prayer dance. This was followed by a welcome address delivered by Dr. Aditya Farsole, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
On this occasion, the Hon’ble Registrar of Vanita Vishram Women’s University, Dr. R. D. Patel, motivated the audience with his august presence. Thereafter, an engaging workshop on the nuances of theatre art was conducted by Krishna Lavangwala, the Founder of The Midday Theatre. Following this, the students benefited from an insightful workshop by Dr. Dharmendra Sheth, Founder, FluentLingua on the theme “Bringing Literature Alive Through Speech.” The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Aditya Farsole.
The objective of this Literary fest was to cultivate and encourage a love and appreciation for literature among the students.
A total of 260 students from various departments of Vanita Vishram Women’s University participated enthusiastically in the event.
On this occasion, the President of the Board of Management of Vanita Vishram Women’s University and Chairman of Vanita Vishram, Surat, Mr. Kriplani T. Desai, along with the Vice President of the Board of Management and Vice Chairman of Vanita Vishram, Surat and Mr. Pravin T. Vora, extended their best wishes to the organizers and participants.
The Provost of Vanita Vishram Women’s University, Dr. Daxesh Thakar, and the Secretary of Vanita Vishram, Surat, Mr. Manhar C. Desai, offered their encouragement and support on the occasion.
The event was organized under the guidance of Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar and under the leadership of Dr. Aditya Farsole, Dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences by the Department of English.
