Glimpses of PSYNAPSE 2025

 

The Department of Psychology, Vanita Vishram Women’s University organised annual Psychology Fest, “PSYNAPSE-2025,” a vibrant celebration of mental well-being. The Chief Guest of this event was renowned Senior Psychiatrist Dr. Mahesh Desai who delivered an engaging speech on “My Experience in the Mental Health Industry since 1990 and the Relevance of Mental Health Awareness in Surat City”. PSYNAPSE-2025 was organised under the guidance of Honorable Provost, Dr. Daxesh Thakar, Vanita Vishram Women’s University. This event was graced by the presence of Honorable Chairman, Shri Kriplani T Desai, Honorable Vice Chairman, Shri Pravin T. Vora and Secretary Shri Manhar C. Desai, Vanita Vishram, Surat.
This event was coordinated by Dr. Aditya Farsole, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Head, Department of Psychology. The fest aimed to bridge the gap between society and mental health, fostering open conversations and raising awareness about mental well-being.

Over 300 students from the department of psychology actively participated in organizing the fest. The fest witnessed an overwhelming footfall of over 5,000 visitors including well-known mental health practitioners and students from various schools and colleges of Surat city.

This fest had 20 stalls that exhibited and demonstrated various application-based concepts of psychology like Leaning techniques, attachment styles, cognitive restructuring, careers in psychology, art therapy, research, self-care, grounding techniques, metaphors, myths related to mental health, and much more To create mental health awareness.
