The Jayaparvati Vrat Celebration, organized by the Social and Cultural Committee of Vanita Vishram Women’s University, Surat, was held on 11th July 2025 with immense cultural fervour and enthusiastic student participation.
As part of the celebration, a vibrant series of competitions were conducted, including Nail Art, Mehndi Designing, Hairstyling, and Flower Jewellery Making. These events saw spirited involvement from over 265 students, who displayed outstanding creativity and craftsmanship.
Winners in each category were felicitated with certificates by the esteemed panel of judges — Ms. Jagruti Shroff and Mrs. Madhuri Patel from Advi Wellness Centre, Vanita Vishram. Their thoughtful evaluations and encouragement added great value to the experience.
The event was conducted under the valuable guidance of Hon’ble Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar, and was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Deepak N. Khambhati, Hon’ble President, VVWU; Shri Manhar C. Desai, Secretary, Vanita Vishram, Surat; and CA Bhavik Shah. Their gracious presence added warmth and dignity to the occasion.
In addition, Shri Kriplani T. Desai, Hon’ble President, Board of Management, VVWU and Hon’ble Chairman, Vanita Vishram, Surat; and Shri Pravin T. Vora, Hon’ble Vice President, Board of Management, VVWU and Hon’ble Vice Chairman, Vanita Vishram, Surat conveyed their heartfelt best wishes to all winners and participants.
The successful execution of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Dr. Aditya Farsole, Chairperson, Social & Cultural Committee; Dr. Ishita Desai, Co-chairperson; and the unwavering support of all committee members.
