The मन – Psychological Counselling Cell and the Department of Psychology at Vanita Vishram Women’s University successfully organized a Mental Health Camp for Stress Management for the university staff, students and residents of the Vanita Vishram Hostel. The camp was held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 10:00 am onwards at Shivgauri Hall, Vanita Vishram.
327 students and 83 staff members attended the event and received information about their stress levels and how to manage them. The entire program included the measurement of stress using the ‘Perceived Stress Scale’, test scoring, explanation of the interpretation and demonstration of various stress management techniques. 150 students from the Department of Psychology contributed to the success of the program.
The camp was organized to effectively manage stress-related issues in the academic environment. The program’s objective was also to encourage an open dialogue about mental health and to inform students and staff about the counselling services available in the university.
The Stress Management Camp was organized under the guidance of the Honorable Provost, Dr. Daxesh Thakar. It was conducted under the direction of Dr. Aditya Farsole, Chairperson of the मन – Psychological Counselling Cell and Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The program was coordinated by Dr. Ria Nadkarni, Coordinator of the मन – Psychological Counselling Cell, and Kamya Vyas, Member of the मन – Psychological Counselling Cell.
