Miss Chef, 2024: HTM, SVS, VVWU
On the occasion of Vasant Panchmi, the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, School of Vocational Studies, Vanita Vishram Women’s University has organized Miss Chef 2024 competition on 14th and 15th February, 2024. The inauguration ceremony of this two days event was done in the presence of Shri M. C. Desai, Secretary, Surat Administrative Committee, Vanita Vishram, and Dr. Daxesh Thakar (Provost of Vanita Vishram Women’s University) on 14th February, 2024.
During the two day event, various competitions were organized like: Starters Voyage, Millet Delight, Mocktails Twist, Platter Art and Dessert Treat. 42 students from different schools and universities have participated in this event.
The competitions were judged by the renowned Chef Shashikant Rathod (Executive Chef, Le Meridien, Surat), Chef Vishnu Rathaur (Head Chef, Boketto Modern Restro, Surat) and Chef Divyesh Chauhan (Executive and Advisory Chef at Siguenete Café de Meet, Surat). In each category, the 1st runner up and the Winner have been awarded with trophies and certificates.
The entire event was successfully completed with the support of *Dr. Daxesh Thakar Hon’ble Provost, VVWU)* and guidance of Dr. Vinita Mod (Dean, SVS, VVWU) along with the coordination of Mrs. Ruchika Agarwal and Dr. Rajul Gandhi (Assistant Professors, Department of Hospitality and Tourism).

• 2nd prize: Kashish Chunawala and Darshi Dalal (TYBVOC- HTM, VVWU)
2. Mocktails Twist
• 1st prize: Vidhi Balar (FYBVOC- HTM, VVWU)
• 2nd prize: Simran Kundwani (SYBVOC- HTM, VVWU)
3. Millet Delight:
• 1st prize: Vidhi Jain (TYBVOC- HTM, VVWU)
• 2nd prize: Krishna N. Patel (SYBVOC- HTM, VVWU)
4. Platter Art:
• 1st Prize :Kashish Jain and Maahi Surana (FYBHM, Auro University)
• 2nd Prize: Anissha Shah and Dimple Bhatt (FYBVOC- HTM, VVWU)
5. Dessert Treat:
• 1st Prize: Riya Shah (TYBVOC- HTM, VVWU)
• 2nd Prize: Riddhi Gandhi (FYBHM, Auro University)
