A “Pap Smear Screening & Cancer Awareness Programme” was organized at Vanita Vishram Women’s University
On the occasion of World Cancer Day, 4th February 2026, the Women’s Development Cell of Vanita Vishram Women’s University, managed by Vanita Vishram, organized a “Pap Smear Screening & Cancer Awareness Programme” under the title “Arogyam”, in collaboration with the Terapanth Mahila Mandal.
Through prior registration, a total of 85 women, including university faculty members, non teaching staff, peons and students, underwent Pap smear tests.
Along with this, bone density reports were also provided, and essential guidance and awareness were given regarding cervical cancer, bone density and the necessary preventive care and precautions.
This camp was organized under the guidance of Hon’ble Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakkar and was led by the Chairperson of the Cell and Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Dr. Vinita Mod. The member faculties of the Cell encouraged staff and students to come forward and participate in the screening.
