Jyoti Dalal School of Commerce & Management, VVWU, successfully organized an expert session on the topic Personal Financial Wellbeing on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
The session featured CA Nilesh Vasa, a Senior Advisor at E&Y LLP, who is also a Professor of Practice in JDSCM, VVWU as the distinguished resource person.
Throughout the session, CA Nilesh Vasa delved into different dimensions of personal finance, financial wellbeing and provided a concise overview of the importance of financial planning at different stages of life and personal life milestones. Additionally, he shared valuable insights into career prospects as a certified Financial Planner.
An engaging online quiz on Personal Finance was conducted, where students participated with great enthusiasm. As a token of encouragement, CA Nilesh Vasa distributed goodies to the winners.
The entire session was interactive and truly enriching, attended by more than 170 final year students from different disciplines like – Science, Commerce, Arts and Vocational Studies.
Dr. Daxesh Thakar Honourable Provost of VVWU extended a warm welcome and motivated girls to develop an appetite for knowledge, not only of ones domain but other areas of life also.
The session was meticulously planned under the guidance of Hon. Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar and Registrar Dr. R. D. Patel. The event was executed with the diligent support of Dr. Abhilasha Agarwal, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies, and Dr. Nanda Bothra, HoD-Commerce. It was effectively coordinated by Ms. Mahernaz Patel, and Ms. Mahafreen Patel.
