The Alumni Association, Vanita Vishram Women’s University, organized ”સફરનામા – 2025,” the 1st Alumni Meet on the occasion of Guru Purnima, on Thursday, 10th July 2025 at Shivgauri Hall, Vanita Vishram, Surat. The theme of the event, “The Story of Our Roots,” beautifully captured the spirit of reconnection and celebration among past and present members of the university.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Smt. Darshanaben Jardosh, Former Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways and Textiles, Government of India, and Former Member of Parliament (MP), whose presence and inspirational words added prestige and value to the occasion. The event was organized under the esteemed patronage of: Shri Kriplani T. Desai (Hon’ble President, Board of Management, VVWU and Hon’ble Chairman, Vanita Vishram, Surat), Shri Pravin T. Vora, (Hon’ble Vice-President, Board of Management, VVWU and Hon’ble Vice-Chairman, Vanita Vishram, Surat.) and Shri Manhar C. Desai (Secretary, Vanita Vishram, Surat). Hon’ble Provost Dr. Daxesh Thakar addressed the gathering with motivating thoughts on the contribution of alumni towards the institution’s future. The event was organized under the supervision of Registrar Dr. R. D. Patel. Deans, HoDs, and Faculty Members of VVWU also graced the occasion. The welcome address, memory-sharing sessions by alumni, and cultural performances created a memorable atmosphere, celebrating the achievements and memories of former students.
The event was convened by the Alumni Association and was a grand success, thanks to the support and coordination of student volunteers.
“Safarnama – 2025” turned out to be an emotionally rich and joyous occasion, reinforcing the deep bond between alumni and their alma mater.
