National Cadet Corps (NCC)

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a voluntary youth organization working under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It is the largest uniformed youth organization in the world, aiming to develop character, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, and spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country.
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is governed by NCC Act 1948 and attendant NCC Rules. It functions under the Ministry of Defence and is headed by DG NCC. It is organized into 17 State Directorates each headed by an Additional/Deputy Director General.

- To foster the spirit of adventure, sportsmanship, and service.
- To motivate youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces.
- To provide an environment conducive to shaping responsible citizens.

The NCC unit at Jyoti Dalal School of Commerce and Management started in 2020 with a sanctioned strength of 53 cadets. Since then, the unit has excelled in academic, cultural and physical training activities. Our NCC cadets have brought pride to the institution through state and national-level participation and have earned several accolades.

Key Training Components
- Drill Training – To instill discipline, order, and leadership.
- Weapon Training – Basic handling of firearms for awareness.
- Personality Development – Public speaking, leadership camps, and seminars.
- Adventure Activities – Trekking, rock climbing, and cycle expeditions.
- Social Service – Tree plantation, blood donation, Swachh Bharat drives, and health awareness.

At Jyoti Dalal School of Commerce and Management, we operate under the Army Wing (Senior Division Girls) affiliated with the 6 Gujarat Girls Battalion NCC, Surat.
